It's not likely this is the first place you have heard about these. However, here is my take.
Your IRA account that you can control without having to put the money in the stock market. Do what you think is best with it. Now there are some limitations. Mostly common sense though. However, take your retirement fund and use it to invest in a number of things, the list is endless, but if nothing else - Real Estate. I'm just going to defer to a number of other independent sites so you can validate what I am saying.
